Our sweet Jaxon

It is about time I get around to doing a blog post of our new sweet boy. He is 19 days old today:)

Jaxon Caleb was born on May 1st at 8:40pm. He weighed in at 9lbs 11oz and was 22 inches long.

My labor with him was very easy and very fast! We checked into the hospital at 5pm, and he in our arms about 3 1/2 hours later.

Jaxon was a “big” baby. Of course to me he is so tiny, but to all of the Dr.’s and nurses he was the “toddler” in the nursery. Because Jaxon was so big his clavicle bone broke during birth and he had a lot of bruising to his little head. Due to the break and bruising his jaundice spiraled out of control by day 4.

We were home from the hospital for one full day, my birthday, before we had to check our poor baby back into the hospital. His jaundice levels were the 2nd highest they had seen. Needless to say, I was a wreck but extremely grateful he was overall a healthy baby and I knew this jaundice would pass.

After 3 days and 2 nights, we finally were back home and settled into our new life. Even on day 19 his jaundice is still really high but overall he is doing fantastic now! Even with a broken clavicle bone.

Jaxon is our third child. I had no idea that I could ever love a third baby the way I love him. I didn’t know my heart could be filled with anymore love that I had already had for my girls. Boy, was I wrong! I thought our baby days were over last year after we had our 2nd daughter. I am so grateful God’s plan for us was different than the plan we had, he was the best little surprise ever!

I have lots of “posed” shots of him (that blog post to follow soon) but I LOVE the simplicity and sweetness photos capturing the details of my him that will someday soon be gone. That newborn fuzz, those tiny feet, those sweet fingers will all be big someday soon.

So for now here is a share of all of the little details I absolutely love of my beautiful son:)
